Another important event of this season for the MS KART racing team was the fourth round of the Rotax Max Challenge, Slovak Championship, and Moravian Cup, held at the home circuit in Vysoké Mýto from July 18 to 20. The weather was favorable all weekend – clear skies with occasional clouds created ideal racing conditions, which our drivers fully took advantage of. Once again, we brought home valuable podium finishes and hard-fought positions.
In the KZ2 Senior category, Jaroslav Capík delivered a dominant performance. He won qualifying and all three heats, securing a commanding overall victory. Josef Barilla also put in a strong and consistent pace, qualifying fourth and maintaining this position with three top-4 finishes.
Filip Vloch in KZ2 fought for the top positions from the start of the weekend. After placing second in qualifying, he added two second-place finishes and one third in the heats, earning an excellent second place overall. Lucie Zimmelová started the weekend impressively: she topped the qualifying session in the Slovak Championship standings. However, nerves got the better of her in the first two heats, where she struggled to find her rhythm. She bounced back in the final race and finished the weekend in a solid fourth place.
Another triumph came in the DD2 category, where Tomáš Javůrek finished second in all heats. Thanks to his consistent pace and smart race strategy, this was enough to secure first place overall. The team experimented with different setups during the weekend and eventually found the perfect one – the reward was a great result.
A new experience awaited Matyáš Kučera, who competed in the Rotax Senior class for the first time. Despite having limited experience in this category, he showcased his talent. After a tough qualifying session that placed him deep in the field, he battled through to move from 34th to 16th in the super final. This meant a beautiful fourth place in the Moravian Cup standings – just one point shy of the podium.
The weekend in Vysoké Mýto once again confirmed the strength of the MS KART team across multiple categories. We’re already looking forward to the next event, which takes place the second weekend of August in Třinec.
