The fifth round of the Czech Karting Championship took place at the end of August on the Steel Ring in Třinec. Intermittent rain created a constant dilemma over tire choice – slicks or wets. Even in this lottery, our drivers managed to deliver strong performances and collected several remarkable results.
Baby 60
Michael Klas qualified sixth and kept a consistent pace throughout the heats. After tough wheel-to-wheel racing, he crossed the finish line sixth in the Superfinal.
ROK Junior
David Rosypal secured P2 in qualifying and confirmed his speed in the first final race, finishing second. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete the Superfinal.
OK-N
For Matyáš Kučera, the category was full of dramatic moments. After a difficult qualifying session, where the ideal setup was hard to find, he maintained solid pace in the dry. In the wet heat, he matched the leaders’ speed, but the Superfinal didn’t go his way, leaving him ninth overall.
KZ2 – Rookie Debut
Newcomer Lukáš Babáček pleasantly surprised with P15 in qualifying. In the heats, his lack of experience in this demanding category became more apparent, but Lukáš fought bravely in a strong field and took away many positives from the weekend.
KZ2 – Career Best for Zimmelová
Lucie Zimmelová delivered the best race weekend of her KZ2 career. From the first practice sessions, she showed excellent speed. Seventh in qualifying was a great boost, and she consistently matched the leaders’ pace in the heats. In race two she finished sixth, and in the Superfinal she fought hard but dropped to P13 after a penalty for contact and a dropped bumper. Despite that, her performance stood out – Lucie proved both her speed and courage to fight in strong competition.
KZ2 – Kadlčák Fights for the Podium
Team leader Jakub Kadlčák faced technical issues in practice, and P8 in qualifying foreshadowed tough battles ahead. He fought his way to P4 in the opening race. The setup for race two wasn’t perfect, yet he still secured third place. With much stronger pace in the Superfinal, Jakub finished on the podium with P3. Although we had hoped for even more, the bronze and valuable championship points were well earned.
KZ2 Gentleman
Jaroslav Capík and Josef Barilla represented the team in the Gentleman class. Jarda maintained a high level all weekend – after P3 in qualifying and stable heat results, he concluded the weekend with third place in the Superfinal. Pepa had a more challenging run: starting P7 in practice, he climbed to an excellent fifth place in race one, but had to settle for P8 in the following two heats. Nevertheless, he demonstrated determination and the will to improve.
The fifth round in Třinec proved the resilience of the entire MS KART team. Both drivers and mechanics managed to adapt to the changing conditions and secure valuable results.
👉 The next challenge awaits at the Moravian Cup and Slovakian Championship from September 19–21, 2025, at the Speedworld track in Bruck, Austria!
