The second weekend of August saw Třinec host another round of the Moravian Cup and the Slovak Championship. Sunny and hot weather accompanied the entire race program, with temperatures exceeding thirty degrees, testing not only the drivers’ physical condition but also the technical setups. The format of three heats determined the final standings, meaning every position counted.
In the Rotax Senior category, Filip Valenta qualified in sixth place. After finishing fifth and sixth in the opening two heats, unfortunately he did not finish the last race and ended the weekend in eleventh place overall.
The KZ2 Senior class was a success for MS KART. Jaroslav Capík dominated both qualifying and all three races, deservedly taking first place. Josef Barilla started from second position and held onto that spot throughout the weekend.
In KZ2, Lukáš Babáček made his debut, treating this participation mainly as a test ahead of his planned start in the Czech Championship next year. Starting from twelfth, he finished ninth and eighth, but did not complete the final race, taking thirteenth place overall.
Lucie Zimmelová was getting to grips with the fast layout of the Třinec track and, after a challenging qualifying, started the first race from fourth position. Following contacts and a bumper penalty, she fought her way to sixth place overall.
Jakub Kadlčák began the weekend with a qualifying win, but a technical failure at the start of the first race, a collision in the second, and two penalties saw him finish ninth overall. However, the main plan was training and preparing the equipment for the upcoming Czech Championship round — and that goal was met, as Kuba was the fastest driver on the track.
In Rotax DD2, Tomáš Javůrek fought hard. After setup changes compared to his successful weekend in Vysoké Mýto, he struggled to find the optimal kart balance, but still remained among the leaders, finishing each race in third or fourth place. He ended up third overall.
The next race for the MS KART team will take place on 29–31 August 2025 at the Czech Championship on the Steelring in Třinec, where another thrilling battle for every position is expected.
